Life is full of unknowns and uncertainties. Will I ever get married? Will I get that new job? What about that friend who’s ignoring me? What if my health never improves? Worrying about the future is something I’ve wrestled with during many different seasons of my life, and I’m guessing you have too. It’s easy to give in to fear and anxiety, but God calls us to a better way.
Psalm 138:8 has been an anchor for my heart and it says, “The Lord will fulfill His purposes for me; your steadfast love endures forever.”
God is in control. He is sovereign over our life circumstances. He is using all things (good and hard) to draw us closer to Himself. Although we don’t know what tomorrow holds, we know who holds tomorrow. Life might not be easy, but when we look to God and remind our hearts that He is in control, we will find peace as we “trust the one who holds tomorrow.”
